Meet the people behind the salsa-led wellbeing, events, team building and community experiences.
Cross Body Leads began with a love of salsa, music and the feeling that comes when people move together in a welcoming room. That spirit still runs through everything we do, but the work has grown into something broader than standard dance activity.
Today, Cross Body Leads supports companies, schools, charities, local authorities, community groups and event organisers with salsa-led experiences that encourage confidence, connection and positive group energy. The aim is not perfect steps. It is to help people relax, take part, meet each other and enjoy a shared moment that feels human.

The public Cross Body Leads salsa community remains an important part of the story. Those nights bring music, social energy and friendly encouragement to local people. The same approach now shapes workplace wellbeing sessions, corporate events, INSET day activities, charity fundraisers, community workshops and pilot wellbeing programmes.
Sessions can be lively, gentle, celebratory or confidence-building depending on the audience. For a business, that may mean helping senior leaders and frontline teams share the same space. For a school, it may mean giving staff or young people an inclusive activity that supports participation. For a charity or community group, it may mean creating a warm event that helps people feel less isolated.
The Cross Body Leads team brings together facilitation, dance experience, music, personality and care. Each person helps create the relaxed atmosphere that makes sessions feel accessible for beginners, mixed-confidence groups and organisations that want something uplifting without pressure.

Cleon is the lead facilitator and currently the only person teaching salsa at Cross Body Leads events. He brings the spark, humour and warmth that many people associate with Cross Body Leads. He is known for helping people feel at ease quickly and keeping the focus on the people in the room. Cleon leads the salsa activity, guides participants through the movements and creates an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere where everyone can join in at their own pace.

Monica brings a calm, welcoming presence to Cross Body Leads events. She supports participants, helps create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere and plays an important role in promoting Cross Body Leads events and helping people get involved. Monica does not teach the salsa sessions; instead, she helps make sure participants feel welcomed, supported and comfortable throughout the experience.

Tracey helps support Cross Body Leads events by welcoming participants, offering encouragement and helping people feel comfortable taking part. She also helps promote Cross Body Leads events and spread the word about upcoming activities. Tracey does not teach the salsa sessions, but her friendly support helps create an approachable and enjoyable experience for everyone attending.

Errol is the DJ for Cross Body Leads events, helping create the sound and atmosphere that keeps people moving and enjoying the experience. His sets feature a wide variety of genres, including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, R&B, Soul, Motown, Reggae and more. Whether it’s a charity event, celebration, fundraiser or larger community gathering, Errol brings the music that helps create an energetic and welcoming atmosphere.
Organisations often come to Cross Body Leads because they want an activity that feels different from a normal meeting, workshop or team building exercise. The team can support workplace wellbeing days, leadership and staff engagement, school INSET days, student enrichment, charity social events, pilot programmes and community connection projects.
Every booking is shaped around the group: confidence levels, access needs, timings, venue size, age range, event purpose and the kind of atmosphere you want to create. The result is a session that feels organised, inclusive and full of life.
